Job description
Position: Outside Sales – TRUCKING, TRANSPORT Freight
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the transportation and logistics industry
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base
– Present and promote the company’s Expedited Freight services to secure new contracts
– Negotiate pricing and terms to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of services
Essential Job Functions:
– Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential growth areas
– Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations to key decision-makers
– Generate and follow up on leads, cold calls, and referrals
– Develop sales strategies and tactics to achieve monthly and annual targets
– Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
Skills:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in Outside Sales, in the transportation and logistics industry
– Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
– Strong communication and negotiation skills
– Excellent presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet
– Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a competitive market
